Dadaya High School, a mission school under the Associated Churches of Christ in Zimbabwe (ACCZ), places a strong emphasis on cultivating spiritual growth and building a vibrant community of believers. Mr Elton Ncube serves as not only the Chaplain but also as a Marriage Officer and Commissioner of Oath at Dadaya High School. His multifaceted role allows him to provide spiritual guidance, support marriages, making him a valuable member of our school community. With his unwavering devotion to the principles of the Associated Churches of Christ in Zimbabwe, Mr Ncube plays a central role in nurturing the spiritual life of the students.
A Week Filled with Spiritual Engagement
Dadaya High School recognizes the importance of regular spiritual engagement. As such, the school offers church services and gatherings on specific days, encouraging students to actively participate in their faith. Here is a breakdown of the weekly spiritual activities at Dadaya High School:
- Mondays: Intersession (16:00 – 17:00) provides a sacred space for students to pray, meditate, and seek spiritual solace. It serves as a peaceful respite amid the activities of the school week.
- Wednesdays: The school’s Scripture Union (15:45 – 17:00) offers a platform for students to come together, study the scriptures, and engage in meaningful discussions about their faith. This communal gathering fosters a deeper understanding of Christian teachings.
- Fridays: Similar to Wednesdays, the Scripture Union (15:45 -17:00) gathering on Fridays serves as an additional opportunity for students to explore the scriptures and strengthen their spiritual connections.
- Saturdays: Praise and worship practice sessions help students embrace the power of music as a form of spiritual expression. These sessions (timings may vary) allow students to come together, sing hymns, rejoice, and prepare for upcoming church services.

Joyful Celebrations on Sundays
Sundays hold a special place in the spiritual calendar at Dadaya High School, with a variety of services catering to different groups within the school community:
- Main Service: From 08:00 – 10:30, the main service offers a sacred gathering for students and staff to come together in worship, listen to sermons, and deepen their connection with God.
- Preachers Kids: The Preachers Kids service (15:00 – 16:00) focuses on nurturing the children of preachers (Pastors, Evangelists,Elders and Deacons), helping them grow spiritually while emphasizing the importance of their unique calling.
- Young Preachers Club: Designed for the youth, the Young Preachers Club (16:00 – 17:00) provides a platform for young individuals to discover and develop their preaching skills. It encourages them to share their perspectives and engage in thoughtful discussions.
- Evening Service: As the day draws to a close, the Evening Service (18:00 -19:00) offers a serene and reflective worship experience. It allows students and staff to end their day in communion with God, finding solace and seeking guidance for the week ahead.
In addition to these services, intersession is available on Sundays from 07:00 – 07:30, providing an opportunity for students to engage in personal prayer and quiet contemplation before the day unfolds.

- Annual Reunion: The Dadaya High School reunion is a highly anticipated event that takes place once a year, usually in July. It is a time for former students of the school to come together and reminisce about their high school days. The reunion not only serves as a trip down memory lane, but also provides valuable career guidance to current students. The event includes various activities such as girls talk and boys talk sessions, where current students can interact with former students and gain insights into their experiences after leaving high school. These sessions are a great opportunity for students to seek advice and guidance from those who have been through similar situations. The reunion also features testimonies from former students, who share their success stories and inspire current students to pursue their dreams. It is a wonderful way to bring together the past and present students of Dadaya High School, fostering a sense of community and pride in their alma mater.
- Christian Ball Games: During the second school term, Dadaya High School hosts the Christian ball games, a ball game competition that brings together 10 schools under the Churches of Christ. Participating schools, including Dadaya High School, Mashoko High School, and Masvingo Christian College, engage in friendly competition while strengthening their faith through sportsmanship and camaraderie.
- Gospel Concert: Dadaya High School also organizes an annual gospel concert, providing students and invited guests with an opportunity to showcase their musical talents and offer uplifting performances that celebrate their faith.
